You can now purchase the award winning documentary about our beloved boy’s struggle with addiction. Because we want all of the proceeds to go directly to Henry’s Fund, here is how it will work.

Send a message to Henry’s Fund at [email protected] and let us know how many copies you would like. We are asking that you send $8 for one DVD, and $4 more for each additional copy through Paypal or by check. We will provide payment info when you contact us. This amount covers the cost of producing and shipping.

We will then ship you your DVD(s) of “Henry’s Story”.

After that, we will ask – if it is in your budget and your heart – that you consider making a donation of any amount directly to Henry’s Fund through the East Tennessee Foundation Website (Find the link to make online donations here: http://tinyurl.com/HenrysFundatETF. Any amount that you donate will be tax deductible, and you will receive an acknowledgement from the ETF on behalf of Henry’s Fund.

If you absolutely can’t afford to pay even the $8 cost of shipping and handling, please let us know, and we will make sure that you get a copy of the DVD. We never want cost to be a barrier to people seeing “Henry’s Story.”

We want to thank WBIR Channel 10 in Knoxville for this gift both to Henry’s Fund and also to everyone who has been or will be helped by seeing this beautifully produced documentary.

Exciting News

I am very excited to let folks know that The Henry Louis Granju Memorial Scholarship Fund – which we will mostly refer to as Henry’s Fund in the work we will be doing – will this week be formalizing our partnership with the East Tennessee Foundation.

The East Tennessee Foundation is a very well regarded, expertly guided and just plain wonderful resource for non-profits in our region. With ETF’s guidance and oversight, Henry’s Fund will officially launch as a recognized 501c3 with the ability to begin actively raising funds and creating opportunity for families to pay for addiction treatment for kids age 12-20 years old.

In other exciting news, I want to share that Betsy Allison Tant, MSW, will serve as the very first Executive Director for Henry’s Fund. Betsy is Henry’s aunt, and she has worked extensively in social service and non-profit work throughout her professional career. And of course, it goes without saying that Betsy is passionate about the mission of Henry’s Fund.

We will have some more exciting news about Henry’s Fund to share with all of you in the days and weeks ahead – including Board Membership and our official Mission Statement. We will also be launching the website for Henry’s Fund within a week or so. (Right now it’s just a placeholder, but you can go ahead and bookmark the URL)

This “big idea” I came up with on the day Henry died – a scholarship fund to pay for drug and alcohol treatment for young people – is now really beginning to take shape!

I think our sweet Henry would be really proud.

Please Help Us Get The Word Out

In memory of Henry, our family is starting what we hope to grow into a permanent, endowed fund with non-profit status to provide funds for families who are struggling to pay the costs of drug and alcohol treatment for their children. Now Knoxville music legend Carl Snow has set up a wonderful way for people to donate to Henry’s Fund by offering $1 downloads of the GORGEOUS song he wrote about our boy. Just visit Carl’s site and all the details are there. It’s easy as pie, and we would really appreciate your support for what we plan to grow into a meaningful legacy of a wonderful child taken too soon by a terrible epidemic sweeping our nation’s children.

Thank you for considering donating to Henry’s Fund. You will love the beautiful song. And thank you, THANK YOU Carl!
